I’ve always believed that purpose isn’t something you stumble into — it’s something that’s shaped by the journey that brings you to it. My own journey into consulting didn’t start with a business plan; it started with lived experience, resilience, and a deep desire to help people and organizations grow in meaningful ways.
Growing up, nothing about my path pointed to entrepreneurship. But over time — through education, hard work, and a commitment to mastering my craft — I found myself drawn to the heart of organizational change: the people. Early in my career, I was put in charge of a major transformation project that stretched across multiple banks. It was complex, technical, and high-stakes… but what stayed with me wasn’t the workflows or the systems.
It was the people.
It was the looks on their faces when change felt overwhelming.
It was the conversations where stress, uncertainty, or resistance surfaced.
It was the pride and relief when things finally came together.
That’s when it clicked for me — real change isn’t about checklists and timelines. It’s about understanding people, honoring their experiences, and guiding them through something new with empathy and clarity.
From there, my career took me across industries — telecommunications, higher education, manufacturing, retail — each one teaching me something new about how humans adapt, grow, and thrive. I pursued deeper learning, earned my master’s in Organizational Change Leadership, completed multiple Scrum and project management certifications, and immersed myself in the psychology of change.
But the turning point came when I realized I wanted to make a bigger impact — one rooted in integrity, humanity, and intention.
And that’s how Yancy Business Consulting was born.
At its core, my firm exists for one reason:
To help organizations lead change the right way — through people, not pressure.
I started this company because I understand what it means to navigate uncertainty. I know what it feels like to face complex transitions without a guide. And I know the power of having someone in your corner who listens, who cares, and who knows how to translate vision into action.
